System Hub
Bookings and the rest of the paperwork

ResDiary or System Hub

ResDiary is a specialist reservation system: floor yield, booking widget, deposits, Google and DesignMyNight, EPOS connections, plans by monthly booking volume. System Hub Booking is tables, parties, events and notes so the host stand does not double-book — £10/week, same login as Food Safety. If you already run ResDiary well, keep it and put SFBB on System Hub.

TL;DR

Do not rip out yield management to “consolidate.” Keep ResDiary if the pain is no-shows, floor turns, and channel mix. Add System Hub Food Safety if the SFBB pack is still paper. Replace the paper booking diary with System Hub Booking only if you do not need yield, Google Reserve, or deep EPOS.

ResDiary details from resdiary.com and resdiary.com/pricing (reviewed 21 September 2026). They state 0% commission, 10,000+ venues, unlimited users, 24/7 support, and 70+ EPOS/PMS integrations. Core plan prices are quote-led. Add-ons on that page are listed in USD (for example Event Manager, pre-orders, and gift vouchers at $45/month; SMS $15; ResPhone $50). A 1.2% surcharge applies to deposits and payments; 3% to gift vouchers. Stripe fees may also apply.

Is the pain double-booked tables, or a missing temperature log?

If Saturday is sold twice, you need a diary with tables, parties, and events in one view. What the host stand needs is covers, notes, and holds — not another hygiene lecture. If the EHO visit is the dread, the booking system will not save you. Opening checks and the 4-weekly review still live in a pack. Read vs paper SFBB.

Booking depth — ResDiary wins this category

Yield (how many covers per time interval), a widget that takes commission-free bookings from your site and Google, card guarantees, diner notifications, and deep till/hotel integrations are why busy rooms pick ResDiary. System Hub Booking will lose a bake-off that is only about turning tables on Saturday night. We will not pretend otherwise.

System Hub Booking is for venues whose diary still lives on calls, emails, and spreadsheets — or who want tables, parties, and events next to SFBB records. Private dining sits in the same diary with a capacity. Keep the till.

What still sits on paper if you only buy ResDiary

Opening checks, probe logs, the 4-weekly SFBB review, weekly fire alarm tests, Challenge 25. Excellent front-of-house software leaves compliance on clipboards. That is the usual System Hub path: keep ResDiary, add Food Safety.

Price

System Hub is published: Food Safety £5/week per location (~£260 a year); Booking £10/week (~£520 a year); both together £15/week (~£780 a year). 14-day trial, no card, weekly Stripe, cancel anytime. Widget and Gift Cards are £5/week each if you add them.

ResDiary core plans are quoted from a form, by how many bookings you need per month. Do not treat third-party £/month tables as their rate card. Add-ons and payment surcharges are published on their pricing page (figures above). 0% commission is a real difference versus marketplace products that charge per seated cover.

Three paths

  1. Keep ResDiary + add Food Safety. Default if you are already live. Trial Food Safety only. Do not migrate bookings.
  2. Replace a paper diary with System Hub Booking. Neighbourhood restaurant or pub, no yield rules, no Google Reserve need. £10/week. You can add Food Safety in the same account.
  3. Do not replace ResDiary with System Hub. If the pain is no-shows, floor turns, and channel mix, stay. Our booking module is not that product.

Who should choose ResDiary

  • Rooms that live on the floor plan and need online widgets and card guarantees
  • Groups that need EPOS or hotel PMS joined to the diary
  • Venues buying diner channels (Google, DesignMyNight) without paying commission on those bookings

Ideal ResDiary customer: a busy UK restaurant whose commercial problem is covers and no-shows, with a separate plan for SFBB.

Who should choose System Hub

  • Venues whose bookings still live on paper, and who also need the SFBB pack off clipboards
  • Operators who will keep ResDiary and only need Food Safety at £5/week
  • Pubs and independents that want tables, parties, and events without a yield platform

Ideal System Hub customer on this page: an owner-operator who will either keep ResDiary and digitise the pack, or replace a paper booking book — not someone ripping out a working reservation stack.

Moving bookings

We do not promise a ResDiary history import. Export what you need for old covers. Start the new diary from the next service. If you keep ResDiary, there is nothing to migrate.

Questions about System Hub and ResDiary

Can I keep ResDiary and use System Hub for SFBB?
Yes. That is the usual path. Keep ResDiary if yield, widgets, and EPOS already work. System Hub Food Safety is the records that still live on paper. £5/week per location after a 14-day trial.
Is System Hub a ResDiary alternative?
Only if you need a simple diary for tables, parties, and events, and not yield management or booking channels. We do not claim Google Reserve, DesignMyNight, or 70 EPOS integrations.
Do you take a commission on bookings?
No. ResDiary also charges 0% commission on bookings. Their extra cost is the subscription, add-ons, and payment surcharges they publish (1.2% on deposits and payments, 3% on gift vouchers).
Will System Hub talk to my EPOS?
Booking is the diary, not the till. Keep your EPOS if it works. ResDiary lists 70+ EPOS and PMS partners. That depth is why groups pick it.
How much is System Hub Booking?
14-day trial, no card. Then £10/week per location via Stripe. Cancel anytime. Food Safety is £5/week if you add the diary pack.
